The Company

A growing cyber security SOC and consultancy are looking for talented and experienced analysts to join a team of over 100 specialists. My client specialises in delivering market leading cyber security services including consultancy, IDS, MDR and threat intelligence from newly purpose-built security operations centre. They provide these bespoke services and security solutions to the local and central government, defence (MOD), High-end retail, and manufacturers. This company pride themselves on delivering excellence in customer service to their clients as well as strong progression plans and high-level technical training for their employees.

 

The Role

This Vulnerability Manager/ Threat Intelligence Analyst will be a key part of the Cyber Security Operations Centre. You will provide high-quality analysis and advice on threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, and anomalies in key customer networks. You will develop dashboards and key indicators within the SIEM to provide deep and pragmatic analysis of the client’s environment. There will be multiple internal and external engagements, stakeholder management through evaluation whilst identifying security risks. You will have key input into looking at trends to alert for mitigation of DDoS, Insider and Phishing attacks.

 

Activities

  • Scanning and searching for Anomalies in the networks
  • Operating the vulnerability scanning toolset
  • Building threat intel reports from detailed analysis of the Networks from the event knowledge in the SIEM
  • Identifying and leading the implementation of the threat intelligence tools and platforms
  • Adding tuning vulnerability scanning dashboards and monitoring tools
  • Incident handling and collaboration with the SOC
  • Identifying and leading the incident handling and Investigations
  • Investigating merging analysing and managing threats
  • Advising on remediation and reduction of risks

 

Skills / Experience required for the Cyber Security Consultant

  • Vulnerability Scanning
  • Splunk / SIEM tool Operation
  • Threat Intelligence (reporting)
  • Sr Stakeholder Management
  • SOC Experience
  • Mitre Att@ck Framework experience or similar
  • Nessus, Rapid 7
  • Basic Pen test skills (non-essential – desirable)
  • Certs in Sans/Crest GCIH, IA or equivalent (desirable)
