The Company

An award-winning Managed Service Provider (MSP) is seeking a Technical Service Delivery Manager to work out of their easily accessible office in Woking, Surrey. This is a hybrid role, split between working from home and in-office, and will require some travel to client site.

They work across SME to large enterprise project delivery, primarily working with multiple vendors, including Cisco, VMWare, and Microsoft. They work with the latest technologies from these vendors, including Software Defined Data Centre technologies like NSX, and the latest from AWS and Azure Cloud.

This means you will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology on the market, from the most popular vendors in the industry. The business offers support for earning additional certifications related to your work when appropriate.

 

Technical Service Delivery Manager Role

As Technical Service Delivery Manager you will be an integral part of the service delivery team, focussing directly on managing the operations and services of their core MSP clients. You will be lead the support team, being technically hands-on when requited, as well as working with multiple key customers overseeing the Service delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and leading the operations team.
  • Delivering across SME and large enterprise sites.
  • Leading by example with technical fault and escalations, and where necessary, being hands-on.
  • Managing the client relations and Service delivery to customers.
  • Reviewing the Service Delivery to clients.
  • Supporting staff and engineers and Sales teams across Microsoft, VMWare, and NetApp.
  • Providing regular and relevant customer communication, to ensure client satisfaction.

 

Skills / Experience required for the Technical Service Delivery Manager

The business offers support with earning additional certifications to support your career. The business does ask however, that you have:

  • 5 years’ experience working in a Managed Service based role.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience with Service management.
  • Experience working in a customer facing role.
  • Hands-on experience working with Windows Server, VMWare, Cloud, and storage.
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers.
