Job Title: SOC Manager

Location: Home Based (Remote Working)

Salary: £90,000

The company

A leading MSP with offices situated in London and the North West are looking for an experienced SOC Manager to support the CTO in the design and implementation of their new MSSP offering to existing clients.

Due to the growing demand from this existing client base, they have recently established a sister company whose primary focus will be to deliver MDR Services to their existing customers. This unique position offers you the opportunity to develop a solution from inception, work closely with the CTO and be heavily involved in the strategic direction of this exciting new entity.

About the SOC Manager role

As a SOC Manager, your initial focus will be the design and implementation of their new Security Operations Centre, which will include the production of their policies and procedures, strategic roadmap, what should be monitored and how they will respond, ensuring the continuous improvement of the solution. Following the successful implementation of the service, you will then be responsible for growing and managing the team including the remote management of their 24/7 Analyst team.

Skills & experience required for the SOC Manager

• Experienced in the building of Security Operations Centre
• Experience in the curation of policies and procedures relevant to the SOC
• Experience in managing and leading successful teams (Any remote management experience advantageous)
• Experience in building and developing Cyber Defence teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Industry-relevant and specific certifications
• Experience of MSSP/ MDR Ops
• Knowledge of Security operational policies and procedures
• Previous experience of managing or leading cyber defence/response teams
• Strong understanding of Risk Management principles
