A Leading Managed Security Service provider & Consultancy are seeking a SOC Analyst to work in a split customer facing position with a key client in Hampshire. The SOC Analyst will be a technical SME for their client, monitoring and reporting on potential security threats within their network and infrastructure environment.

 

The Role

As a SOC Analyst, you will support the SOC Manager as an escalation point and technical SME for stakeholders within a key client. This is a hands-on role but additionally gives you the opportunity to work in a customer facing role as a first point of contact between the customer and Security Operations Centre. You will have the opportunity to develop consultancy skills, whilst offering insight into the best technical solutions to secure and report on their client technology stack.

SOC Analyst Overview

  • Demonstrable ability to form effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders
  • Confident in communicating technical incidents or Security threats to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience of working with SIEM and log monitoring tools
  • Capable of acting as a business SME
  • Previous experience of working within the SOC (Desirable)
  • Proven technical understanding of IT and Operating systems including Windows and Linux
  • Able to operate independently

 

Skills / Experience required for SOC Analyst

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience within a similar role
  • SANS Incident Handler, Intrusion Analyst, or industry equivalent certification would be beneficial, not essential.
  • Eligible for SC Clearance (If already SC Cleared, more beneficial, again not essential)
