An award-winning Internet Service Provider is seeking an experienced Senior Support Engineer to join the Reading offices of their business on a hybrid basis.

The company is fast growing, industry-leading Internet Service Provider delivering to mid and large enterprise clients as well as delivering within the public Sector. The businesses primary focus is the supply state-of-the-art Internet Services, whether through Fibre, Ethernet, MPLS, SD-WAN, or hosted.

Meaning you will have the opportunity to work on an exciting variety of the latest, cutting-edge tech and exciting, varied projects.

 

Senior Support Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Support Engineer will be a key part of the support service team having a keen focus on internal support. You will report directly to the Line Manager and be the focal point for any internal requirements.
The role comes with hands on experience in multiple technologies, will give you exposure to exciting and varied projects, and give you the opportunities to grow and develop your skills. Your responsibilities in the role include:

  • Your key focus is to work as a member of senior support for the Networks team.
  • Support technologies internally across Infrastructure and Cloud.
  • Support the Projects team when required.
  • Mentor and train junior members of staff.
  • Working with both technical and non-technical staff, you will be involved in supporting both remotely and from the office.

 

Skills & Experience

Your training and development will be an active focus for the business, as they offer support for earning certifications that will boost your career. The business does however, ask that you:

  • Have strong experience in technical Support.
  • Experience working with on-prem, Hybrid, and Cloud Solutions.
  • Experience working with Azure and Office365 and Endpoint.
  • Must be comfortable with liaising with C-Level staff.
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Have a good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and network related issues.
