Senior Network Engineer

Location: Newbury, Berkshire

Salary: £75,000

Due to the growth of the business and expansion in the team, an Internet service provider (ISP) is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work out of their easily accessible Newbury office.

As their newest Senior Network Engineer, you will be a key part in designing and implementing their solutions to the ISP’s Core Network, and lead a team of Project Engineers.

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will look after the project delivery, assist other engineers, design implement, and support their expanding core network. You will, maintain their networks, monitor the core project team, and act as a senior escalation point to the NOC.

Senior Network Engineer Role Overview

• Working with both Technical and Non-technical staff, you will be design, implementing, and supporting the core networks.
• Your key focus will be to design networks, preform implementations, and configure, the core network.
• Manage a team of Project Engineers.
• You will look after delivery of projects.
• At as a senior escalation point to the network operations team.

Skills and Experience required for the Senior Network Engineer

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ technical experience
• Holding Professional level Cisco or Juniper Certification (ideally CCNP, or JNCIP)
• Must have high level of understanding of BGP, and MPLS in Core Networks.
• Have experience working in an ISP environment
• Have experience working with Juniper, ideally SRX
• Have Server experience including VMware, and Linux
• Must be able to interphase with both sales and technical staff.
