Senior Network Engineer

Location: Cheshire – Hybrid

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000

A rapidly growing, market leading Service Provider, that delivers internet services and fibre throughout the UK is searching for a Senior Network Engineer to join their Cheshire based business. The business delivers high-speed internet services to professional UK businesses, with the goal of becoming an industry leader for fast fibre in the United Kingdom.

Due to continued success and growth, the business is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to deliver leadership to a team of dedicated Core Network Specialists. This is a true team leadership role, and you will lead a Networking team to build, test and deploy cutting-edge network solutions across service provider environments.

As such, you will have the opportunity to deliver projects from inception, work on some of the latest technologies and be involved in building brand new networks. The business also offers hybrid and flexible working as standard to its team. They want you to work however is best for you.

Senior Network Engineer Role Overview

As Senior Network Engineer, you will be a key part of the business. Your focus will be on delivering network projects to a variety of customers, providing you with the chance to work with a range of different technologies. Your primary responsibilities will be the project function of the business, across network deployment and business to business DC and WAN delivery at engineer level.

• Deploy complex core network solutions across various environments.
• Test solutions in lab environments, ensuring they are ready for deployment.
• Involvement in a variety of project, from greenfield site builds, core replacements, site migrations and upgrades, alongside 3^rd tier BAU.

Skills and Experience required for the Senior Network Engineer:

The business is committed to your professional development, and offers support for earning vendor certifications that you choose to pursue. The business does ask that you have:

• 5 years’ experience in a Service Provider environment.
• Demonstrable experience in leading projects and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF and MPLS.
• Proven experience in project delivery across network environments.
• A Cisco and/or Juniper background.
