Senior Network Engineer roles & responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, the Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the proactive technical support and management of large Cisco enterprise network across multiple networking technology verticals, not limited to, R&S, WLAN, Security, and Data Centre. You will be the senior operations resource acting as a point of escalation whilst proactively managing the network. You will be the most senior technical resource for a team of Network Engineers, delivering 3rd and 4th tier support and problem remediation work. There is an opportunity to upskill in the latest technologies, therefore you will have a keen interest in networking trends and have a passion for self-development.

• Act as Lead Engineer for the Enterprise site
• Represent the Managed Service on site
• Be a point of contact for all escalations
• Oversee projects, upgrades, changes, escalations
• Opportunity to work with innovative technologies, including Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Software Defined Access (SDA), Identity Services Engine (ISE) (prior experience preferable, not essential)

Skills & experience

• Must be CCNP level
• 5+ year enterprise networking experience
• Excellent R&S knowledge
• Prior experience with software-defined networking is preferable, but not essential
• Exceptional communication skills
• Good written skills
• Comfortable in a customer-facing position
• Excellent documentation skills
• Comfortable with International travel
• Must be eligible to live and work in the EU
• Must be eligible for security clearance
