Senior Network Engineer

Location: London – Hybrid

Salary: Up to £70,000

A Professional Services company delivering into medium to large enterprise sites are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their growing Networks team. This role is hybrid working with a mix of remote work from home and working on customer sites to design and implement security solutions for the customer’s networks.

The business pride themselves on being a key provider for Software Defined Solutions, with the aim to reduce costs and improving services to their network.

This is a project focused role working solely on design and delivery, with no responsibilities for support after project delivery.

You’ll have the opportunity to take the lead on your own projects, as well as working with side-by-side with CCIE Certified Network Architects, learning from them as you work on next-gen technology including Cisco ACI, Cisco SDA, and Cisco SD-WAN.

The business holds partnerships with leading vendors including Cisco, Fortinet and Infoblox: Meaning you’ll have support with earning vendor specific certifications that will be a huge benefit to your career.

About the Senior Network Engineer Role

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will also manage all documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure SLAs are met. At the same time, you will continue to learn and develop your skills with all the latest tech. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Design and implement solutions for customers networks.
• Be a Cisco evangelist around all technology.
• Work in a project only focused role.
• Working with both technical and non-technical staff as the key point of contact.
• Ensure SLAs are met, documentation is correct, and policies/procedures are in place.

Your Skills & Experience

You will be supported to work in a hybrid manner, and be given any training you require to work with next-gen technology and progress in your career. The business does ask however that you have:

• Must have a minimum certification of CCNP.
• Must have a high-level understanding of Cisco Networks.
• Have experience designing and implementing Cisco solutions.
• Be skilled in Routing + Switching and with one other technology (ISE, ACI, SDN, FirePOWER).
• Have previous experience working directly for customers.
• Understand SLA Agreements.
• Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical staff.
