The Company

A Leading Consultancy are seeking Senior Linux Engineer to based out of their office near Oxford, with work from home opportunities. They are a growing organisation and are looking to expand their infrastructure team. They work with the latest technologies, from DevOps and Cloud, focusing on delivering the best, most secure solutions to some high-profile clients.

The Role

As the Senior Linux Engineer, you will oversee projects and monitoring of the consultancies Platforms, ensuring that the customer’s services are running at maximum efficiency, at the highest quality. The Support Engineer will also manage all documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure SLA’s are met.

Senior Linux Engineer Overview

• Oversee designs, builds, and configurations on high-level Linux Servers
• Investigate, and monitoring of the Global Providers Platforms
• Working with both Technical and Non-technical staff, as the key point of contact.
• Ensure SLA’s are met, Documentation is correct, and Policies and procedures are in place.
• Assist the junior engineers and mentoring when required

Skills / Experience required for the Senior Linux Engineer

• Must be eligible for SC Clearance
• Must have a high level of understanding of Linux Servers
• Experience of the full project lifecycle of Linux
• Previous experience monitoring, investigating, and diagnosing issues
• Have customer facing experience
• Must be able to interphase with both technical, and non-technical staff.
• Experience mentoring junior staff
