Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 + Overtime and On-Call

About the Senior Infrastructure Engineer role

Our client is looking to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to provide support and implementation of new projects to their customers’ infrastructure environments. As well as this, you will be responsible for:

• Providing 3rd line infrastructure support to a range of systems, networks, applications, and hardware
• Carry out technical work on infrastructure and systems
• Designing, testing and implementation of new projects and technologies
• Produce and maintain documentation relating to system configuration, mapping and processes
• Communicate with third parties to ensure SLAs are resolved to agreed standards
• Infrastructure life cycle management and capacity planning
• Ensure ITIL processes and policies are completed within the framework using best practice

Skills & experience required for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• VMware certification (VCA/VCP/VCAP)
• ITIL Foundation
• MSA and HPE storage solutions
• Windows server (up to and including the latest version)
• Eligibility to be Security Cleared to NPPV3 Level
• Microsoft certification (MCP/MCSE)
• Backup and DR Solutions
• Microsoft Active
• Virtualisation, Software & Infrastructure (VMware)
• Microsoft SCCM and windows patch management
• Azure and Office 365
• Cyber security including Web and Email filter Solutions
