Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Remote / Home Based

Salary: £50,000 basic with bonus, + other benefits

A leading UK communications and services provider is going through a large investment, and are expanding their fibre footprint. They hold multiple awards and deliver some of the world’s best broadband services to local businesses. They deliver across residential, business, and wholesale providers UK wide. With large-scale Cloud deployments and other next-gen technology solutions, large-scale multi-million-pound projects are of abundance.

The Senior Network Engineer role

The Senior Network Engineer will be a key part of the team, with a focus on delivering projects across the client’s core network, through the implementation of Cisco Cor Networking technologies. The right person will deliver solutions across large-scale Service Provider Networks.

• Deliver network solutions directly and alongside operational teams across WAN, MPLS, BGP, and ACI
• Deliver ACI solutions across Core Networks
• Strong documentation writing and able articulate complex network solutions
• Design of core and distribution equipment in multi-site locations

Skills & experience required for the Senior Network Engineer

• MUST be UK based, SC Cleared or eligible to gain SC Clearance
• 5 years experience working in Service Provider or Managed Service environments
• A sound understanding of MPLS and BGP
• Knowledge of ACI would be preferable
• CCDP or CCNP Certified, Fortinet, F5, or similar certs would be a bonus
• 5 years experience in design documentation
• Experience with Cisco WAN, and ACI delivery
• Have customer liaising experience
• Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers
