About the NOC Engineer role

The NOC Engineer will be a key part of the team, supporting and resolving issues for medium to large enterprise clients. As a NOC Engineer, you will have a good understanding of supporting customers directly, and have an eagerness to learn. You will report directly to the Line Manager and will have multiple opportunities to grow and develop your skills.

• Working with both technical and non-technical staff, you will be involved in supporting new services, assisting on configurations, and working on all systems; Network Monitoring, trip and alarm tracking, basic diagnostics, troubleshooting and connecting devices.
• Your key focus is to provide support to act as the first response to escalations, as well as assisting the senior engineers

Skills & experience required for the NOC Engineer

• 2 years experience working in network support
• Ideally CCNA or CCNP certification
• Experience working with Cisco
• Experience working with CUCM, VoIP and security
• Have a good understanding of LAN/WAN protocols, routing protocols, switching
• Ideally have Managed Service experience
• Have customer liaising experience
• Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers
