Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + Package

 

An award-winning Cisco Gold Partner is seeking a Network Support Engineer to join their team on a remote basis. As Network Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be a crucial part in administering next-gen engineering solutions for their clients.

This Network Support Engineer role is completely remote. However, to be considered you must be based in the UK.

 

Network Support Engineer Role Overview

 

The Network Support Engineer will be a key part of the team, focused on delivering high-level support to a variety of key customers and clients. You will be the senior focal point in a team of Network, Network Security and SOC engineers working across 3rd line operational support. Additionally, your role will include:

  • 3rd line support and management of next-gen firewall solutions, including FirePOWER and Fortinet.
  • Operational support across DNAC, ISE and SDN solutions.
  • Supporting, troubleshooting and management of LAN and WLAN solutions across mid and large enterprise environments.

 

Skills and experience required for the Network Support Engineer:

The business is committed to supporting your growth as a Network Support Engineer. And as a Cisco Gold Partner, they offer support with earning Cisco certifications that will boost your career. The business does however ask that you have:

  • 3 years’ experience working in managed services.
  • Experience working with LAN and WLAN environments, including implementation.
  • Strong background in managing and troubleshooting FirePOWER and/or Fortinet firewalls.
  • Experience in working with Cisco Networks, ideally holding CCNP Enterprise.
  • Experience in working with firewalls, ideally Cisco, but equivalent will suffice.
  • Delivered large scale projects.
  • Have customer liaising experience.
  • Experience with Cisco DNAC, and Cisco ISE would be beneficial.
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers.
