Job Title: Network Support Engineer

Our client is a fast growing IT Managed Service Provider who specialises in the delivery of IT Managed Services to a variety of market sectors. They pride themselves on employee development, including paid for certifications and training allowance.

The IT Managed Service Provider is looking for a Network Support Engineer to join their Network Operations Centre team. As a Network Support Engineer working in their support centre, you will support the monitoring and management of my client’s internal network, as well as supporting key clients across their Enterprise network environment.

The main responsibilities in the role will be identifying, diagnosing, managing and resolving incidents, minimising the impact of any network outage and customer downtime. You will be expected to ensure that customer SLA’s are achieved for all services using Network Monitoring and end-to-end Incident Management processes.

About the Network Support Engineer role

• Network Monitoring, Incident Management, Incident Diagnosis and Incident Resolution within SLA
• Provide regular updates to ticketing systems whilst progressing incidents through to resolution
• Keep abreast with new network technology supported by the support centre

Skills & experience for the Network Support Engineer

• CCNA level network engineer
• Must be eligible for SC clearance
• Experience of working within a Network Management or Operations Centre environment.
• Experience with network monitoring tools
• Experience in trouble-ticketing systems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• LAN and WAN troubleshooting skills
