The Company

A growing fibre provider in Harrogate are recruiting a Network Splicer to be involved in the rolling out of brand new full-fiber networks in the Harrogate area. As such you will be working with the very latest of fiber technologies.

As the Network Splicer, you will be a key part of the field team having a keen focus on installing and testing fibre optic cables in the area. You will report directly to the Fibre Manager and be the focal point for any senior escalations queries. The position comes with your own personal van, mobile, and laptop, as well as a generous healthcare package.


Network Splicer Overview:

  • Your key focus is to manage your own desk
  • Focus on installing, terminating, and testing fibre optic cables
  • You will respond to faults, and travel to multiple sites daily
  • Act as an escalation point
  • Liaise with other members of the team daily


Skills / Experience required for the Network Splicer:

As a Network Splicer, you will have a good understanding of fibre optic networks, be comfortable traveling to multiple sites, have an eagerness to learn, and a passion for technology.

  • Previous Fibre or ISP experience
  • Have over 2 years splicing experience
  • You must have experience in installing, terminating, and testing fibre optics
  • Have experience in Advanced Fibre optic testing – OTDR/IOLM
  • Experience working with Active components / Outside plants, Street Cabinets
  • Must have a clean UK driving licence
