Cisco Network Security Consultant Role Overview
As the new Network Security Consultant, you will be a key part of the team, split across Pre-Sales, customer engagement, Solutions Architecture, leading project delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Design and delivery of Cisco Security solutions, exposure to multiple Cisco solutions is ideal.
- Deliver planning of mid to large scale enterprise networking environments, discussing key customer needs and wants.
- Design and implement LAN and WLAN solutions across mid and large enterprise environments.
- Lead projects at a senior level, working as a senior contact point to junior members of the team.
- Work across project deployments, including design and implementation across complex Next-Gen Firewalls, LAN, and WLAN.
Skills and Experience Required for the Cisco Network Security Consultant:
While the business will support your continuing development, they do ask that you have:
- 5 years’ + experience working in managed services and a Senior Engineer and Solutions Architect.
- CCIE, CCDP and/or CCNP is beneficial.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering Cisco ASA, and FirePOWER solutions including FTD and FMC.
- Strong understanding of Cisco Security portfolio, from Next-Generation Firewalls, ISE, Umbrella, AMP and StealthWatch.
- Experience working with LAN and WLAN environments, including implementation.
- Delivered large scale projects.
- Customer liaising and communication experience.
- Experience with Cisco DNAC would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- Can communicate and work effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
