The Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly expanding ISP who deliver ultra-fast fibre networks and are one of the fastest growing service providers in the UK. They are now seeking an experienced NOC engineer to join their ever-growing team.

As Network Operations Engineer, you will work in a hybrid model out of their easily accessible, brand-new office based in Cheshire.

 

Network Operations Engineer Role and Responsibilities

As the Network Operations Engineer 2nd/3rd line, you will work as part of the support team. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot customer networks and core network infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve 2nd/3rd line support escalations
  • Automated and manual configurations on networks and configuration change requests
  • The opportunity to work closely with customers
  • Being proactive in your approach to handling support cases
  • Working with network monitoring tools such as Libre NMS, Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana

 

Skills and Experience Required for the Network Operations Engineer:

  • 2 years minimum working win a NOC/IOC environment.
  • Experienced with network systems and basic system administration skills.
  • CCNA certification, or demonstrate experience working to that level.
  • Strong customer communication skills.
  • Experience with incident management, logging, triaging and Diagnosing monitoring tools.
