Network Engineer

Location: Newbury

Salary: £50,000

Due to the businesses continued success and subsequent expansion efforts, an Internet service provider (ISP) is seeking a Network Engineer to join their growing team of Engineers and work out of their easily accessible Newbury Office.

As Network Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting and implementing their solutions to the ISP’s Core Network. You will be part of the project delivery team, assisting other engineers’ implementation, and support their expanding core network. You will maintain their networks, monitor the core project team, and act as a senior escalation point to the NOC.

Network Engineer Overview:

• Working with both Technical and Non-technical staff, you will be design, implementing, and supporting the core networks.
• You will have a key focus on implementations, configuration, and supporting the core network.
• Manage a team of project engineers
• You will support the delivery of projects
• At as a senior escalation point to the network operations team

Skills and Experience required for the Senior Network Engineer:

You will have the opportunity to continue to develop your skills on cutting edge technology and software. The business does ask however that you have:

• A minimum of 3+ years’ technical experience.
• Be Cisco or Juniper Certified (ideally CCNP, or JNCIP or working towards them).
• Must have high level of understanding of BGP, and MPLS in Core Networks.
• Have experience working in an ISP environment.
• Have experience working with Juniper, ideally SRX.
• Have Server experience including VMware, and Linux.
• Must be able to interphase with both sales and technical staff.
