Day Rate: £300 per day

One of Europe’s largest retail chains who have over 500 sites across the UK. Are looking for a Network Engineer on an initial 6-month contract to work on a large Enterprise site in London.

As the Network Engineer, you will work on-site, and have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology from their state-of-the-art London office. They are passionate about team unity, provide training and development, and have permanent positions available for the right person.

Contract Network Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

As the Network Engineer, you will work within the projects team. working on implementations, upgrades, and changes to the internal Network. You will work alongside senior members of the team, helping to deliver the project on time. Additionally, your responsibilities will include:

• Upgrade and implementation on the IP Network
• Configuring and making changes to Cisco Routers.
• Manage all documentation, to ensure processes are logged.
• Replace the existing switch with new Huawei Switches.
• Assist with provisioning.
• Document and log all work.

Skills & Experience Required for the Contract Network Engineer Role

You will be supported by the business to work how is best for you. The business does ask however that you have:

• Experience working at a CCNP Level.
• An understanding of projects Cisco Networks.
• Previous experience patching and configuring switches.
• Experience working with FortiGate.
• Experience with Huawei.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and on-technical staff on complicated technological concepts.
