Location: Remote / Home Based

Salary: Up to £70,000 + car allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Network Design Engineer to join one of the UK’s largest managed service providers. You will be working with the latest innovative technologies whilst providing solutions-based outcomes for clients.

About the Network Design Engineer role

The Network Design Engineer is responsible for the design of multiple networking technology verticals, including; LAN and WAN. You will be working within the architecture team responsible for the design of medium to large enterprise sites. There is potential to upskill on the latest technologies, so it is essential you have a keen interest in networks and a passion for personal development.

• Design of enterprise network environments – LAN / WAN
• Understanding of Cisco or Juniper Routing and Switching
• Network Design Validation, a good understanding of developing design documentation
• Opportunity to work with innovative technologies and be an integral part of the projects team
• Design multi-disciplined greenfield network environments

Skills & experience required for the Network Design Engineer

• UK based and SC clearable (do not need current SC clearance)
• Demonstrably working at minimum a CCNP level (certification preferable, not essential)
• Delivering, reviewing and validating high and low level designs
• Experience with Greenfield network design
• 4+ years enterprise networking experience
• Previous network or IT service provider experience would be preferred but not essential
• Excellent R&S knowledge – LAN / WAN / WLAN
• Exceptional communication skills
• Good written skills
• Comfortable with International travel
• Must be eligible to live and work in the EU
• Must be eligible for security clearance
