Job Title: Network Design Engineer (Contract)

Location: Remote / Home based (must be UK based)

Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)

The Network Design Engineer role

The Network Design Engineer is responsible for the design of multiple networking technology verticals, including; LAN and WAN. You will be a senior project resource working within the architecture team to be accountable for the design of large enterprise network projects. There is an opportunity to upskill on the latest technologies, therefore you will have a keen interest in networking trends and have a passion for self-development.

• Design of enterprise network environments – LAN / WAN
• Understanding of Juniper or Cisco Routing and Switching
• Network Design Validation, a good understanding of interpreting design documentation
• Opportunity to work with innovative technologies, oversee greenfield projects, and be an integral part of the projects team

Skills & experience required for the Network Design Engineer

• UK based and SC clearable
• Demonstrably working at a CCNP or JNCIP level (certifications preferable, not essential)
• Delivering, reviewing and validating high and low level designs
• 4+ years enterprise networking experience
• Previous network or IT service provider experience would be preferred but not essential
• Excellent R&S knowledge – LAN / WAN / WLAN
• Exceptional communication skills
• Good written skills
• Comfortable with International travel
• Must be eligible to live and work in the EU
• Must be eligible for security clearance
