A Service Provider is seeking a Network Design Engineer to work out of their easily accessible Midlands Site. With a state of the art set-up, they have ensured that you feel at home working in their comfortable and welcoming office.

The Role

The Network Design Engineer will be a key part of the Design and Planning teams. As a Network Design Engineer, you will have a good understanding of IP and SDH Networks. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering and be the initiator in future services they will offer.

Network Design Engineer Overview

• You will be working on Greenfield projects
• Working with both Technical and Non-technical staff, you will manage the Network Designs, assist in planning and strategies being rolled out across the transport industry
• You will Analyse Networks, Connectivity, and performance, liaise with clients, and asset how improvements can be made.
• You will be a hands-on Engineer, who will assist in implementations when required

Skills / Experience required for the Network Design Engineer

• Must have a high level of understanding in the IP and SDH Networks
• Have strong Cisco Experience and Ideally be CCNP Certified however, Not essential
• Must have experience of the Full Life Cycle
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience working on High-Level, and Low-Level Design’s
• Have Previous Rail experience working with tools such as Cramer, OSS, and NRDT
• Ideally have a Managed Service background
• Have customer-facing experience
• Must be able to interphase with both sales and technical staff
