Job Title: Linux Engineer

Location: Remote / Home Based

Salary: £65,000

The Company

A Global Managed Service Provider who provide hosted services to customers worldwide, with a key focus on advancing their services into Automation.

Linux Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

As the Linux Engineer, you will design, implement and support the Global provider’s platforms, ensuring that the customer’s services are running at maximum efficiency, and at the highest quality. The Linux Engineer will also manage all documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure SLAs are met. This is a remote role, however, may require occasional visits to Data Centres in London when required.

• Design and implement bespoke infrastructure platforms, including Linux, VMware, and various networking skills.
• Working with technical and non-technical staff as the key point of contact.
• Ensure SLAs are met, documentation is correct, and policies and procedures are in place.
• Assist the Engineers, Project Managers and third-party carriers on reports.

Skills & Experience

• Must be eligible for SC Clearance.
• Must have a strong understanding of Linux and related technologies.
• Must have worked in a hosted environment.
• Good understanding of VMware and related network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Automation and Ansible.
• Ideally come from a managed service background or have experience managing multiple environments.
• Must be able to interphase with both technical, and non-technical staff.
