Due to continued success and growth, the business is looking for a Lead Network Engineer to deliver leadership to a team of dedicated Core Network Specialists. As Lead Network Engineer you will lead a team to build, test and deploy cutting-edge network solutions across service provider environments. As such, you will have the opportunity to deliver projects from inception, work on some of the latest technologies and be involved in building brand new networks.

 

Lead Network Engineer Role & Responsibilities:

As the Lead Network Engineer you will be a key part of the business. Your focus will be on delivering network projects to a variety of customers, providing you with the chance to work with a range of different technologies. Your primary responsibilities will be the project function of the business, across network deployment and business to business DC and WAN delivery at engineer level.

  • Deploy complex core network solutions across various environments.
  • Test solutions in lab environments, ensuring they are ready for deployment.
  • Involvement in a variety of project, from greenfield site builds, core replacements, site migrations and upgrades, alongside 3rd tier BAU.

 

Skills and Experience required for the Lead Network Engineer:

  • 5 years’ experience in a Service Provider environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading projects and technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF and MPLS.
  • Proven experience in project delivery across network environments.
  • Cisco and/or Juniper background.
