Job Title: Junior Network Engineer

The Company

An industry-leading ISP is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to work out of their newly developed Network Operations Centre. They are a fast-growing service provider, offering Core and WAN connectivity to mid and large enterprise businesses across the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently in a support-based, service desk role who is eager to move into the networking space. The company provides extensive training and development support, assistance with certifications, and a clear progression path into Network Engineering.

About the Role

As a Junior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role as the first line of response for customer issues. You will have experience in a support or service desk role, handling tickets and escalations, and be eager to develop your networking skills. Reporting directly to the Support Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with significant career growth potential.

Your key focus will be to provide a fast and professional response, turning business problems into business solutions while working with both technical and non-technical staff.

Skills & Experience

• Background in Service Desk or technical support, handling tickets and escalations.
• Ideally CCNA certified or working towards certification.
• Experience with routers, switches, and other network environments.
• Exposure to TCP/IP, DNS, and network-related issues.
• Experience supporting desktops.
• Ideally, experience within a Managed Services environment.
• Strong customer liaison skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
