An exciting Project Management opportunity has recently opened up for a leading technology organisation based in the UK. My client specialises in large infrastructure transformation projects across Network Services, Data Centre transformation, Professional Services, and full IT Managed Services. My client partner with the leading technology vendors in their respected fields and pride themselves on delivering bleeding-edge solutions to their customers.

IT Project Manager Overview

The Project Manager will act as a focal point and non-technical leader to key clients and internal stakeholders. You will face off with technical and non-technical stakeholders, whilst delivering innovative technology solutions to a variety of organisation. You will be fully accountable for the day-to-day management and delivery of key infrastructure and technology projects with a high degree of complexity with critical business impact.

The IT Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project workstreams are implemented to the correct deliverables, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost. In terms of project parameters, this role will manage technology projects as a focal point within a talented team, delivering projects with high complexity. Projects will impact across a number of stakeholders to C level, involving constrained resource teams and including significant business change/transformation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project life cycle from setting up a project and initiation to delivery and close.
• Deliver complex projects with varying size and budget
• Manage all project communication, ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed of progress
• Act as a point of escalation for team members
• Managing project budget

Skills / Experience required for the IT Project Manager

• Strong IT Project Management skills and experience
• Excellent organisation, documentation, and Witten skills
• Must be eligible to for SC Clearance (no requirement to currently carry)
• Certification in Prince2 or PMP
• Must have Project Management experience within an IT Managed Service or IT Professional Service organisation
• Experienced in delivering infrastructure projects, ideally network and data centre services
• Good high-level understanding of Networking, Data Centre, Infrastructure Solutions
• Strong Project Governance
• Strong risk management and control experience RAID etc
• Strong Methodical Project Manager
• Experience of business change management
• Responsible and conscientious professional
