The company

A Managed Service Provider (MSP) is seeking an IT Helpdesk Manager to work out of their easily accessible Kent Office. With a key focus on providing service to small, medium, and large enterprise sites across the UK.


About the IT Helpdesk Manager role

As the IT Helpdesk Manager, you will collaborate on the short and long term strategies of the MSP’s Infrastructure. Oversee up to 30 Engineers all at different technical levels, direct SLA agreements, and lead and develop the teams in managing the infrastructure help desk.

  • Be a key influence on the improvement process and strategy
  • Develop and lead the Infrastructure helpdesk teams
  • Develop, mentor, appraise, reward, and discipline the team accordingly
  • Liaise with Partners, Vendors, and Customers, to ensure the highest standard is met at all times
  • Monitor KPIs and take action to achieve commercial targets, quality standards, and customer goals
  • Produce monthly budgets, forecasts, activity, and management reports
  • Manage budgets, and act to ensure budget compliance


Skills and experience

  • Previous Management experience
  • A Service Provider background
  • A high-level understanding of a Helpdesk
  • A high-level understanding of Infrastructure as a service
  • Be able to interphase with both sales and technical staff
  • Microsoft Certifications (not essential)
