Location: Remote/ Home-Based – Midlands

 

The Company

An award-winning, specialised Managed Service Provider, are looking for an IT Account Manager to join their team on a largely remote and home-based basis. This role does include some travel to customer sites in the Midlands, meaning you must be in commutable distance to the area.

As Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on both existing client accounts and new business acquisition. In addition to a competitive base salary and car allowance, the business offers a generous bonus commission structure to reward your hard work and success.

They offer a complete end-to-end service for the design, implementation, and management of a range of cutting-edge technology solutions. They are highly accredited partners amongst their household name vendors and have won numerous awards for the quality of their IT services.

 

IT Account Manager Role & Responsibilities

As new Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling IT solutions into senior management within the commercial sector. This will include selling a large variety of technologies, such as network, cloud, and cyber security solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Work in a split function, 50% new business with support from the organisation to generate leads, and 50% account management.
  • Grow client spend in new and existing clients.
  • Build a sales pipeline within public sector clients.
  • Manage key relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Act as strategic advisor for the client, guiding their decision making in the above-mentioned technology stacks.

At first you will be focused primarily on managing the existing client accounts. But as you progress, you will have the opportunity to shift to a 50/50 split between new business acquisition and managing existing clients.

 

Skills and Experience Required for the IT Account Manager:

The business will support you to work however is best for you. The business does ask however that you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Sales with experience in selling Network, Cloud or Cyber Security Solutions.
  • Experience of selling into the commercial sector.
  • Ideally you will have an established network and connections within the industry.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
