Salary: Up to £50,000 + Uncapped commission

Location: South East England – Remote

An exciting, well-established managed service provider/ VAR is looking for a remote working IT Account Manger to join their team based in the South East of England.

The business specialises in IT support and technical consultancy to the cloud, networking, and datacentre businesses. They have been established for around 35 years and are increasing their expansion efforts, and integral to this, is you: As the business is now looking to grow their Sales team with more talented IT Sales professionals.

The business holds accreditations from both Cisco and Microsoft: Meaning they deliver solutions using state of the art technology and software and are consistently investing into their employees with external and internal training.

 

Account Manager Role & Responsibilities

As the new Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be selling solutions into senior management within private sector clients. This will mean selling a large variety of technologies, including network, infrastructure, cloud, and storage solutions. Additionally, your day-to-day will include:

  • You will be working 100% on new business acquisitions with support from the organisation to generate leads, and then progress to managing the accounts you have won.
  • Grow client spend in new and existing clients.
  • Build a sales pipeline within private sector clients.
  • Manage key relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Act as strategic advisor for the client, guiding their decision making in the above-mentioned technology stacks.

 

Skills and Experience required for the Account Manager:

You will be supported to work how is best for you and to find the greatest success in your role. The business does ask that you have:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT Sales with experience in selling Network, Infrastructure, Cloud or Storage Solutions.
  • New Business Sales experience.
  • Experience of selling into the private sector.
  • Ideally you will have an established network and connections within the industry.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
