Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + Benefits

 

The Company

My client, a leading Managed Service Provider based in the North-East deliver end to end solutions across multiple technical stacks. Ranging from Enterprise Infrastructures, Storage, building and delivering new virtual environments, and a fully managed service portfolio. They support mid to large enterprise companies, from Councils, Universities, Schools, and large office spaces.

 

The Role

The Infrastructure Engineer will be a key part of the team, primarily focussing on project delivery and installations. The right person will have extensive experience in installing and delivering infrastructure solutions across SME and large enterprise sites, working with VMware, Storage technologies, O365, and Servers.

 

Infrastructure Engineer Overview

  • Install/implement Infrastructure solutions directly and alongside operational teams across Virtual environments
  • Deal directly with clients, specifying their needs and providing solutions working alongside Consulting and Architect teams
  • Delivery of Storage, O365, Server and VDI
  • Work as an escalation point if needed and technical lead during incident management, provide training to junior staff

 

Skills / Experience required for the Infrastructure Engineer

  • 6+ years’ experience working in an MSP or ISP environment
  • Microsoft, VMware, or equivalent certified, ideally certifications across Microsoft, storage, etc
  • Experience working with mid to large enterprise environments
  • Delivered over 30+ projects and solutions, including on-site installs
  • Have customer liaising experience
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers.
