The Enterprise Network Engineer role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be working in a customer facing network delivery role. You will work alongside a Technical Architect who will complete high level design and some low-level design work, handing over to you as a Sr Network Engineer, you will fill in the blanks and oversee the delivery as the project focal point and point of escalation.

  • You will act as a senior project engineer with a key focus on enterprise wireless projects
  • Leading the delivery of complex enterprise wireless projects, you will act as project lead, completing low level design and implementation
  • You will lead projects from inception through survey, delivery, and service transition
  • There will be some customer facing workshop work, supporting customers with their implementation
  • You will work closely with all levels of employees, from C level stakeholders to juniors and apprentices

 

Skills / Experience required for the Senior Network Engineer

  • Ideally at least 3 years enterprise Wireless Networking experience
  • You will have strong experience in the deployment of wireless environments, for a bit of scale, a minimum of 400 ap’s would be required.
  • You will have strong knowledge of Cisco Wireless products – WLC, AP’s WLAN
  • Some Cisco SDA or DNA experience would be beneficial but it’s not essential as full training on these products would be given
  • Previous experience working for an MSP would be beneficial, but not essential

 

You must be UK-based, however, there is flexibility on home working South of Birmingham.
