The Company

A Software Provider based in Cheshire is looking for a Data Engineer to join their growing team. As a Data Engineer, you will get the chance to work on state-of-the-art database solutions for customers throughout the UK.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience extracting data from multiple database environments for medium and large enterprise sites and transferring it to the in-house databases. You will gain experience working in environments that include SQL and BI, and bespoke BI Tools.

You will work in a hybrid model, with 2 days a week in the office and working from home for the rest. You will have huge training opportunities, take ownership of the Data Warehousing, and advance its facilities and transform it in whichever direction you plan.

Data Engineer Role and Responsibilities

• You will bring an injection of pace and knowledge to the MI team increasing the extraction of data and migrating onto the new servers.
• Working with both Technical and Non-technical staff, as the key point of contact.
• Own the Data warehousing environment
• Scope and advise on new technologies and progressions of the data warehouse
• Assist the database team on technical queries
• Act as a senior point of contact to the team

Skills and Experience required for the Data Engineer:

• Must have experience with SSIS
• Must have experience working with BI Tools
• Ideally, you will have SQL experience
• Passionate about future tech and keen to learn and grow
• Must be able to interphase with both technical, and non-technical staff.
