A leading managed security provider and consultancy are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant. My client specialises in delivering market leading managed security solutions to the local and central government, defence, and education sectors. The Role

The Cyber Security Consultant will be a key part of the Cyber Consulting team. You will provide high-quality consultation and advice on complex issues and projects, whilst developing key products, services, and solutions. There will be multiple internal and external engagements, stakeholder management through evaluation whilst identifying security risks. You will have key input into use case definition, develop playbooks, and deploy best in class security services to a variety of enterprise customers.

 

Activities

  • Use Case Definition, design, and documentation
  • Customer facing consultation and assessments
  • Runbook or playbook construction
  • Ensure projects are aligned with correct policies
  • Keeping abreast of threat landscapes whilst offering insight to the customer and internal stakeholder
  • Develop, contribute and manage the delivery of security requirements, standards, and technical roadmaps

 

Skills / Experience required for the Cyber Security Consultant

  • Experienced within a similar position developing Cyber process
  • Comfortable in a customer facing position
  • Detective and preventative security procedures
  • Knowledge of SOC environments
  • Security framework knowledge
  • Development of KPI, SLA, and dashboards
  • Threat intelligence and hunting (preferable, not essential)
