Rate: £500 a day

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Length: 6 months

 

Due to the continued success of the business and expansion of their team, an industry-leading and world-renowned IT Service Provider is looking for a Senior DNS Engineer to join their team on a hybrid/ remote basis, with only occasional travel to the London office when required.

With over 10 million users nationally, including Central Government, leading Internet Providers, and highly Critical Network Infrastructures. Due to the service, they provide, you must be a UK resident and eligible to pass DBS clearance if necessary.

The business offers training with the latest technologies, career progression plans to move you into Management or the Architect team and offer hybrid working with the occasional travel to the office in London when required.

 

Senior DNS Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

As the Senior DNS Engineer, you will be designing and building a brand-new state-of-the-art platform, as well as monitoring of the customers servers. You will also be supported to learn and develop your skills in projects and team leadership. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working with both technical and non-technical staff, as the key point of contact.
  • Design and building a new state of the art platform.
  • Monitor, investigate, and diagnose any issues with the managed Service servers.
  • Ensure SLAs are met, documentation is correct, and policies and procedures are in place.
  • Lead the technical team on projects and in Operations.

 

Skills & Experience

The business is committed to your professional development and offers support for earning additional certifications. The business does, however, ask that you have:

  • Must have UK citizenship.
  • Must have experience with DNS Servers.
  • Experience working with Authoritative and recursive DNS.
  • Previous experience monitoring, investigating, and diagnosing issues with Servers.
  • Have experience working with Linux Servers.
  • Understanding of DNS Security.
  • Have an understanding of Networks.
  • Understand SLA Agreements.
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical, and non-technical staff.
