Location: Remote/ Home-Based – Reading

A connectivity Provider specialised in IoT, are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team on a remote and home-based basis. This role does include some travel to customer sites and meetings in the office in Reading, meaning you must be in commutable distance to the area.

As Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to work solely on new business acquisition and building your own pipeline and strategy. In addition to a competitive base salary, the business offers a generous bonus commission structure to reward your hard work and success.

The business is primarily focused on delivering connectivity and IoT solutions in multiple sectors in the UK. They offer a complete end-to-end service for the design, implementation, and management of a range of cutting-edge technology solutions in particular IoT. They are highly accredited partners amongst their household name vendors and have won numerous awards for the quality of their IT services.


IoT Business Development Manager Role & Responsibilities

As new Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling IoT solutions into senior management within the a sector of your choice. This will include selling IoT and Connectivity. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Generating leads and attend meetings for new business.
  • Growing client spend in new and existing clients.
  • Building a sales pipeline within Enterprise sector clients.
  • Managing key relationships and identifying opportunities.
  • Acting as strategic advisor for the client, guiding their decision making in the above-mentioned technology stacks.


Skills and Experience Required for the IoT Business Development Manager

The business will support you to work however is best for you. The business does ask however that you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Sales with experience
  • 3+ years of building you own strategy and pipeline.
  • Knowledge of IoT is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
  • Experience of selling into a specific sector.
  • Ideally you will have an established network and connections within the industry.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
