An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Backup and Security Manager to manage the newly developed Backup and Security team of a Middlesbrough-based IT Business Partner. The business prides itself on the professional and expert IT support, management services and solutions it offers to SMEs in the North-East of England.

As you will be leading the newly formed Backup and Security team, you will have real freedom to develop and grow the team as you see fit.

This is an in-office role as you will be hands on managing the team but will progress to a hybrid position as you settle into the role. The business also offers funded training and support for earning certifications that will be a long-term benefit for your career.

Backup and Security Manager Role

As the business’s newest Backup and Security Manager, you will manage a newly formed, small Backup and Security team. You will also be responsible for:

• Offer guidance and support to the junior members of your team.
• Perform in-depth audits for client sites on Security.
• Process and procedure management.
• Manage and oversee the deployment of the team to customer sites.
• Remaining hands-on with tech when necessary.

Skills and Experience Required

Your professional development will be a focus for the business, as it offers funding for training, support with earning certifications, and learning new and emerging tech. The business does however ask that you have experience in the following:

• Veeam Backups.
• Cyber Essentials.
• Server Configurations.
• Network Function.
• On-Premises Infrastructure.
