An Audio-Visual Solutions Provider is seeking an AV Installation Engineer to work in the field on multiple customer sites. About the AV Installation Engineer role

The role of the AV Installation Engineer reports to the Installations Manager and is key to supporting the Solutions Provider’s client throughout London. You will assist in delivering first and second fix installations of Audio Visual Equipment for our customers across London. This role works under instruction from the Lead Engineer and assigned Project Manager to deliver installations and commissioning to the highest specification by the agreed deadlines.


  • Commissioning and handover to the end user of all forms of Audio Visual installations
  • Carrying out first and second fix installation activities of control systems, Video Conferencing systems and Audio-Visual systems to the highest standard and by the project deadlines set
  • Rack build and testing of systems internally
  • Ensuring projects are tested thoroughly prior to any sub contract programmers arriving on site
  • Works with Crestron control systems including the upload of files to processors, touch panels and applications along with minor programming changes
  • Your key focus is to provide a fast and professional response turning business problems into business solutions
  • You will work in multiple environments, in and around the City


Skills & experience required for the AV Installation Engineer

  • At least one year of commissioning experience
  • Previous experience working from schematics, site plans and drawings
  • Possesses a solid understanding of first and second fix AV installations, including excellent working knowledge of the wiring, installation and configuration of Audio-Visual systems
  • Good working knowledge of Crestron control systems including the ability to upload files to processors, touch panels and applications
  • Be willing to travel to multiple sites
  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
  • Have customer liaising experience
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers
