Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Reading – Hybrid

Salary: Up to £55,000 + Package

An award-winning Internet Service Provider is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join the Reading office of their business on a hybrid basis.

The company is fast growing, industry-leading Internet Service Provider delivering to mid and large enterprise clients as well as delivering within the public Sector. The businesses primary focus is the supply state-of-the-art Internet Services, whether through Fibre, Ethernet, MPLS, SD-WAN, or hosted. Meaning you will have the opportunity to work on an exciting variety of the latest, cutting-edge tech and exciting, varied projects.

Infrastructure Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

As Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a key part of the service team and have a keen focus on internal support. You will report directly to the Line Manager and be the focal point for any internal requirements.

The role will provide you with hands on experience in multiple technologies, exposure to career defining projects, and give you the opportunities to grow and develop your skills. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Your key focus is to work in a split between projects and senior support.
• Design and implement projects internally across Infrastructure and Cloud.
• Work on multiple projects at one time.
• Act as a Senior Escalation Point to the Support team.
• Working with both technical and non-technical staff, you will be involved in supporting both remotely and from the office.

• Have experience in design and implementation.
• Experience working with on-prem, Hybrid, and Cloud Solutions.
• Experience working with Azure and Office365 and Intune.
• Must be comfortable with liaising with C-Level staff.
• Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Have a good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and network related issues.
