About the Company

A global automotive company that is leading the way in autonomous driving and electrification is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join their offices in the Hildburghausen region.

The business is looking to expand in the European market and invest in their IT team due to the exciting expansion of their processes and systems. As their new IT Systems Engineer, you be responsible for the operation of IT Systems within the OT area (I.E, MES and Production network).

The business prides itself on its development program and will offer you the opportunity to learn and progress with new technologies.

Whilst experience with OT is desired, they are happy to train an enthusiastic candidate with 3 years of experience within IT.

IT Systems Engineer (Operational Technology) Role and Responsibilities

• You will have entire exposure of the lifecycle management within OT, and work with production managers and equipment manufacturers ensuring efficiency.
• Advising and supporting production staff, in the implementation of IT systems within the OT area.
• Reporting faults and incidents within the production system (Applications, network, and information systems).
• Dealing with the Cloud System, identifying and resolving issues.
• Liaison with vendors and manufacturers.

Skills and Experience Required for the IT Systems Engineer Position

• Previous IT Experience (minimum 3 years).
• A desire and interest to learn operational technology.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Basic knowledge of machine and software communication.
