Salary: £50,000 – £55,000

Location: Cheshire or Yorkshire / Hybrid – 1 day per week in the office.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at an exciting HR Consultancy business that leads the way in cloud solutions for large enterprise clients.

The business are experts in Cloud technology and are a software development house that works with some of the biggest brands in the UK to automate their HR processes.

The business offers hybrid and flexible working, with only one day per week required in the office: from their offices based in either Cheshire or Yorkshire.

 

Senior Infrastructure Engineer Role and Responsibilities

As Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead a small team of infrastructure engineers on the building and maintenance of on-prem and cloud infrastructures for a variety of clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Building, configuring, and maintenance of on-prem and Cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitoring Cloud systems for performance, security, and capacity issues.
  • Designing, building, and implementing Cloud and M365 solutions.
  • Day-to-day Cloud resource and network management.
  • Supporting and managing internal VoIP telecoms systems.
  • Support of Azure infrastructure.
  • Documentation of IT infrastructure system.
  • Building servers and configuring switches (on-prem and Cloud).
  • Migrating servers from on-prem to Cloud.
  • Line and team management responsibilities of a small infrastructure team.

 

Skills and Experience Required for the Senior Infrastructure Role

The business will support you to work how is best for you, in a hybrid manner with flexibility in your work. The business does ask that you have:

  • ITIL V4 certification or similar.
  • Azure Certifications such as AZ900 or AZ104.
  • Understanding of Windows Server operating systems.
  • Both Azure and on-prem Networking and DNS.
  • M365/EOL.
  • Active Directory.
  • Windows Updates.
  • A strong understanding of Cloud (Azure) and traditional on-prem networks.
  • Collaboration skills, being able to work both as an individual and as a team.
  • Effective communication skills, being able to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
  • Documentation composition.
  • Full lifecycle project experience.
  • Problem solving/root cause analysis.
