Head of Systems Engineering

Salary: £100,000 – £120,000

A leading Internet Service Provider who are involved in a national Fibre rollout across the UK are looking for a Head of Systems Engineering to take control of their business strategies. With a core focus to bring connectivity services to homes and businesses.

Head of Systems Engineering Role & Responsibilities:

As the Head of Systems Engineering, you will collaborate on the short and long terms strategies of the company’s Business Support Systems, and their Operations Support Systems. You will review the businesses strategies on Microservices and Middleware, advise on the direction the company should progress and work on the solution offerings. Additionally your role will include:

• Be a key influence on the Business Strategy.
• Be accountable for the planning and road mapping the systems evolution to facilitate growth.
• Liaise with Partners, Vendors, and Customers, to adopt and implement new systems across the business.
• Be involved in planning and finance.
• Produce monthly budgets, forecasts, activity, and management reports.
• Manage budgets, and act to ensure budget compliance.

Skills / Experience required for the Operations Director:

The business is committed to supporting you to work how is best for you, offering hybrid and flexible working to suit your individual needs. The business does however, ask that you have:

• Must have a technical background.
• Be experienced with BSS, and OSS.
• Have experience previously being a Solutions Architect or similar role.
• Must have experience within management.
• Must have Service Provider background.
• Must be able to interphase with both sales and technical staff.
• Previous large scale Project experience is beneficial.
