ISP Network Engineer role & responsibilities

The ISP Network Engineer will be a key part of the team, with a primary focus on project delivery and supporting high-level solutions to medium to large enterprise clients. The right person will primarily focus on new site builds, configurations and deployments, as well as being a senior escalation point to the NOC.

• Focus on project deployments and configurations
• Be the customers’ central point of contact, from initial query to final resolutions
• Senior escalation point for Network Operations team
• Working with both Technical and Non-technical staff, you will be involved in delivering and supporting new services

Skills & experience

• 2-3 years experience working in a Network Engineering position
• Have experience in working in Service Provider environments
• Experience working with Juniper, Brocade, Extreme and/or Cisco
• Strong understanding of OSPF and BGP
• An understanding of MPLS networks
• Good understanding of WAN protocols, routing protocols, switching
• Ideally have Managed Service experience
• Customer liaising experience
• Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers
