An award-winning Managed Service Provider (MSP) is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to work out of their easily accessible office in Croydon, with flexible working, as well as client site visits. They primarily work with SME clients for project delivery, collaborating with multiple vendors such as Cisco, VMWare, and Microsoft. They use the most up-to-date technologies from these vendors, such as Software Defined Data Center technologies like NSX, as well as the most recent AWS and Azure Cloud offerings.

About the Senior Infrastructure Engineer role

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be a key part of the team, focusing directly on D&I of Infrastructure Technologies. The right person will deliver the Design and Deployment of Windows Servers, virtualisation tool, and storage, working with multiple key vendors. This will be delivered across SME and large enterprise sites.

• Design and implement Infrastructure solutions directly and alongside Senior Architects and Pre-Sales teams across Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, and NetApp
• A generalist attitude, with a specialism in one of the above
• Deal directly with clients, specifying their needs and providing solutions
• Design and delivery of core and distribution equipment in multi-site locations across London and the South-East
• Work alongside sales teams and Senior Architects to deliver the best solutions possible

Skills & experience required for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• 5 years experience working in a customer facing design and implementation role
• CCNA, VCP, CCNP, MCSE or equivalent
• Experience working with Windows Server, Networking, VMWare and storage
• Knowledge of 2 or more industry leading vendors
• Ideally have Managed Service experience
• Strong storage experience or understanding
• Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers
