Location: Remote – UK Wide

Salary: £75,000 – £85,000

The business offer full managed services, across network services, security, cyber, and cloud solutions. With accreditations and partnerships across Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Microsoft, they lead the way in critical business infrastructure projects. As an organisation they focus have a holistic approach to technology, not being governed by a specific vendor, you will have the opportunity to get involved with new and emerging technologies from each of the leading vendors.

The Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will act as a senior lead within enterprise network projects. You will be a key part of the team, with a focus on delivering design documentation, implementing solutions, and act as a point of escalation for more junior team members. You will deliver a mix of traditional and software defined network solutions to mid-large enterprise customers, not limited to blue light, education, and central government. You will be comfortable in a customer facing position and have the ability to converse at all levels.

Senior Network Engineer Overview

• Design and delivery of network routing and switching solutions
• Opportunity to lead the delivery of complexed network solutions and services
• Lead technical customer engagement
• Architecture of complex secure environments
• Support junior members of the team, as a technical lead, not as a direct line manager
• Develop documentation and designs for customers, looking at business outcomes and not just technical solution
• Design and build of POC’s and run customer workshops

Skills & experience required for the Senior Network Engineer

• You MUST be UK based (Flexible home working offered for UK based consultants)
• You will have 5 years’ experience working in a senior network delivery capacity (WAN / LAN / WLAN)
• Ideally current or lapsed CCIE or JNCIE in R&S, Security, or DC is preferred
• You will have 5 years’ experience in the design and delivery of complex network environments (WAN / LAN / WLAN)
• Experience with one or more vendors; Juniper, Cisco, HPE, or Nokia
• Some software-defined experience or awareness would be ideal
• Regularly been accountable for delivering large scale network project
• You will be comfortable in a customer facing role and have the ability to converse at all level
• Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers
