An industry leading ISP is seeking a 1st Line Support Engineer to work out of their newly developed network operations centre. They’re a fast growing service provider, offering Core and WAN connectivity to mid and large enterprise businesses across the UK.

 

About the 1st Line Support Engineer Role

The 1st Line Support Engineer will be a key part of the team acting as the first line of response. As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will have a good understanding of supporting customers directly, and have an eagerness to learn. You will report directly to the Support Manager, and have multiple opportunities to grow and develop your skills.

  • Working with both technical and non-technical staff, you will be the first response to customer issues on their services.
  • Your key focus is to provide a fast and professional response turning business problems into business solutions.

 

Skills & Experience required

  • Have a good understanding of IT support functions.
  • A foundational understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies, networks and security.
  • Have exposure to TCP/IP, DNS, and network related issues.
  • Have experience supporting desktops.
  • Ideally have Managed Service experience.
  • Have customer liaising experience.
  • Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers.
