About the Core Network Engineer role

Due to the ISP’s continued growth, a fantastic opportunity for a senior engineer to work remotely on customer services has arisen. The Core Network Engineer will play a critical role in designing and implementing solutions to the ISP’s Core Network.

• Working with both technical and non-technical staff, you will design, implement and support the core networks
• Your key focus will be to design networks, perform implementations, and configure the core network
• Manage a team of project engineers
• Look after the delivery of projects
• Act as a senior escalation point to the network operations team

Skills & experience required for the Core Network Engineer

• Must have a minimum of 5 years technical experience
• Cisco Certified (ideally CCNP-SP)
• Must have a high level understanding of BGP and MPLS in Core Networks
• Understand a Metro network
• Experience working in an ISP environment
• Experience working with Junos
• Data Centre Experience
• Must be able to interphase with both sales and technical staff
