Package: £50,000 – £55,000 Basic, Pension, other benefits

The Senior Software Engineer Role

As Senior Software Engineer / Consultant you will be a key part of the team, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to design, develop and maintain solutions that play a pivotal role in enhancing business efficiency and adding value to customers.

You will be key in the specification and development of these solutions, working as part of a cross-functional team.

This is a completely remote role, meaning you will be supported to work however is best for you and given the tools you need to succeed in your role.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, design, and develop technical solutions, focusing on software development, tooling, and integrations across the full stack.
• Development of backend services and APIs, and integrations with third-party APIs and existing enterprise grade applications.
• Engage actively in agile practices within a cross-functional team, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, stakeholder demos, and retrospectives.
• Help to shape the technical roadmap adding value for customers and leveraging MlOps, Generative AI and being part of the R&D in these areas.

Your Skills and Experience

• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
• Experience in developing and maintaining web applications using Python and web frameworks such as Django, Flask/FastAPI.
• Experience developing front ends use JavaScript/Typescript based frameworks (React.js)
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns and principles and experienced in writing efficient and performant
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
• SQL databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes) in production.
• Python-based task queues such as Celery and Redis.
