The Company

An award-winning, specialised IT Service Provider, are looking for a Project Manager to join their office in Newport, South Wales. This role is primarily office-based but does include some travel to customer sites in the south-west.

As Project Manager, you will own the entire lifecycle of the projects you manage, being integral to the planning and delivery. The business takes pride in the level of customer service it offers, and a high degree of customer satisfaction is key to what you will do.

The business is an award-winning technology solutions provider, and partner with multiple vendors such as Microsoft, Veeam, and AWS to name a few. Meaning you’ll be working with the latest technology on the projects you work on.

 

Project Manager Role & Responsibilities

As new Account Manager, you will be an integral part of the Project Management team, working on a large variety of technologies, such as network, cloud, and cyber security solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a large number of concurrent projects, which range in in budgets from £30K to £500K.
  • Take ownership of the projects you work on, including: Planning, cost-management, risk management, execution and reporting of success.
  • Deliver across the project lifecycle, from sales order to handover to the customer.
  • Be confident working closely with customers, to ensure satisfaction throughout projects.

 

Skills and Experience Required for the Project Manager

The business will support you to work however is best for you. The business does ask however that you have:

  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects, simultaneously.
  • Certified in Project Management, ideally Prince2 or Agile certification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects for an MSP, SP, VAR etc.
  • Ability to manage and develop customer relationships.
  • Confidence in using standard Project Management methodologies to ensure effective delivery of projects.
  • A confident communicator, working with stakeholders and team members regularly.
  • Worked with budgets at the SMB level.
