An exciting opportunity has arisen at an award-winning Microsoft Partner for a Power BI Developer. The business is a fast-growing, industry-leading managed service and security provider, delivering services to mid-sized and large enterprise clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Power BI Developer to continue their career development with an established Microsoft Partner. The company has a strong focus on staff development, providing support for training and earning certifications. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and play a key role in developing internal and external reporting systems and processes.

This is a predominantly remote role; however, you must be based in the UK to be considered. The role will also require eligibility to gain SC Clearance due to government-based clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Power BI dashboards to visualize data from Microsoft Sentinel, XDR, and other security tools, transforming raw data into actionable insights for the security team.
  • Develop automated reports for the SOC team, enabling the tracking of incidents, trends, and key performance indicators across the environment.
  • Use APIs and data connectors to integrate Microsoft Sentinel into Power BI, ensuring real-time and historical data visualization for comprehensive security monitoring.
  • Optimise Power BI dashboards to handle large volumes of security data efficiently, ensuring fast query performance and seamless data interaction.
  • Work closely with security analysts and engineers to design data visualisations and develop reports.

 

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Strong understanding of DAX and Power Query for data transformation.
  • Experience with data integration, particularly using APIs and connectors with Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of security data, including incident management and event monitoring.
  • Experience working with large datasets and optimising Power BI performance.
  • Technical understanding of IT infrastructure, including:
    • Microsoft 365 suite
    • Defender XDR
    • Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
    • Azure portal
